This was a great weekend for being outside. On Saturday, we decided to go to the Oakdale Chocolate Festival. We weren't very impressed - they had a lot more samples when we went a couple of years ago. We looked at all the booths, ate lunch, bought some chocolate and left. Next, we drove to Modesto since Shawnna had a meeting with a potential client - they signed up for monthly Personal Chef Service. Then, we ate dinner at Olive Garden and went home and watched Wimbledon.
On Sunday, we went to the REI Paddling Demo at Lake Natoma in Folsom. I was able to try out 6 or 7 different kayaks - from the really short river kayaks to the long, touring kayaks. I'm not necessarily looking to buy another one, but it was a good excuse to get out and paddle. That took up most of the afternoon and then we came home and I BBQ'd tri tip for dinner.
