The Wedding Date - Movie Review

A romantically challenged woman from New York who has to fly to England to attend her half-sister's wedding, hires a male escort to pose as her boyfriend so she could make her ex-boyfriend (who suddenly dumped her 2 years earlier) jealous. While spending time with the escort during the wedding festivities, she begins to wonder if the relationship has to be all business.

This is your typical romantic comedy; nothing different or innovative. After 10 minutes, you will have figured everything out and know exactly where it is headed; no surprises. There are some funny moments, but mostly it's just a bland movie with a weak plot and the chemistry between the characters seemed awkward at times. It's less than 90 minutes long, but I wouldn't even waste that amount of time watching it.

Rating: 2 of 5 stars
Would I watch it again: No
Starring: Debra Messing, Dermot Mulroney

I typically watch movies on Monday, Wednesday and Friday while riding the ACE Train from Tracy to Santa Clara. The opinions expressed are those of me, myself and I.
